As you have read in Part 1, we have been in Algonquin Park camping and here to also celebrate the 150 for 150 event.  There has been a lot of sharing on Facebook this week, and I have thoroughly enjoyed reading and seeing all the different takes on the weekend.  Some of my favorites have been from the 150for150 group, Wild Canoes, and Camper Christina.  So with that, I figured you can get a little view into our involvement.

Did We Forget Anything? Part 1 (Part 2 150 for 150 event)

About 5 months ago, the planning for this trip started with the event #150for150. If you haven’t seen pictures or heard of this event, click on the hastag which will link you to their Facebook page.  The basic information is the gathering of 150 canoes on Canoe Lake in Algonquin Park to help celebrate Canada’s 150 years.  A group of fellow bloggers, vloggers, and online personalities were all involved in getting this organized.  I was jumping in on this with two feet, thus getting our site booked for the weekend in Algonquin. Ant Kingdom (The nickname for our campsite)

This past weekend, we did a little family overnight canoe trip into Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park.  The last time we ventured into this park was for a weekend in 2015 where we went into Wolf Lake then Crab lake.  It’s actually hard to believe it’s been almost 2 years since we have gone back. Mainly due to the fact that we have been camping and finding adventures in many other locations.
