This years fall colors in Algonquin Provincial Park hit peak early, and I mean weeks early. We have been watching the fall color report closely, and we just happened to have a weekend open just when they were due to hit peak. I checked on the Ontario Parks reservation system and was lucky to find ONE site open for Saturday so I booked it immediately.
Temagami – Our First Crown Land Canoe Trip
This summer I really wanted to try somewhere new, off grid, crown land canoe camping. Dan had another week of vacation to use, and I knew I wanted to go canoe camping….somewhere…. After some research I landed upon Temagami. If you know this park, it is quite big, and you can travel for a long time and not cover the same area. With this being such an unknown I continued to ask for help as to where is the best place to start.

Did We Forget Anything? Part 1 (Part 2 150 for 150 event)
About 5 months ago, the planning for this trip started with the event #150for150. If you haven’t seen pictures or heard of this event, click on the hastag which will link you to their Facebook page. The basic information is the gathering of 150 canoes on Canoe Lake in Algonquin Park to help celebrate Canada’s 150 years. A group of fellow bloggers, vloggers, and online personalities were all involved in getting this organized.
