We live in an area that is full of places to explore, even during the winter. Today the sun was shining and when some plans fell through, other plans are created. This meant we headed out to Presquille Provincial Park for a little hike. Today’s agenda was the Owen Point Trail.

We are no strangers to Frontenac Provincial Park. We have been here many times canoe camping, hiking, and I have taken my outdoor classes here for their big canoe trip each year. This visit we decided to hike a new trail section. We needed a trail that was shorter in length, as we knew we would be here for only a couple of hours in the morning. With that in mind, we headed to the park to hike the Doe Lake Loop.

The map in the link is currently the older map as this conservation area is up for some trail re-routing. Please note that this is a hike at your own risk until the trails are updated. We have been here many times, so we are very familiar with the trail system.
