Good morning Day 4, kinda… We were greeted with fog, and lots of it for our next section in Iceland. It really felt like we had been transported to the East Coast of Newfoundland, not the East Coast of Iceland. The plan for today was to drive the East Coast and head inland a bit to the North Coast. Breakfast was the usual oatmeal, then we opened the map to check out any symbols that might be points of interest, and hit the road.
South Coast, Iceland – Day 2 and 3
We continue our adventure in Iceland on the South Coast. This section ended up taking us two days to complete as there was so much to see! That meant multiple stops along a small section of highway. We had a selection of sites on our list of must sees, and the rest would be stops along the way that seemed of interest to us.
Golden Circle, Iceland – Day 1
Iceland…
You have been on my radar since as long as I can remember. The land of Fire and Ice. Being a Geography Major, the thought of travelling to such a place as Iceland tops my list of places to go and this was the year to do it! As a birthday present (I’m turning 40 this year), my hubby and I embarked on a 10 day trip around the island. Come and follow along as I take you through seven areas of Iceland.
Top 3 Luxury Backcountry Gear Picks
There are many items that I love to bring on a trip. When we car camp, we load our vehicle as much as we can. We know there will be no weight limits, or even space limits (well the size of the vehicle I suppose), so lots of gear it is. However, when you are backcountry camping, there are many items that will have to be left home. Or if you have the money, you can purchase much lighter gear (that’s a whole other story though). Today I will go through three of my luxury pieces of gear that I bring on backcountry trips.
