30 Day Writing Challenge – Day 15

Topic: Three Pet Peeves

1. A messy bed.
I cannot stand it when it is time for me to go to bed and the bed sheets are not straight and tucked in. I would love to have a maid fix my bed each day so that when it was time for me to get in, it would be perfect.  Every night I have to pull apart the bottom of my bed and fix the sheet so that it is tucked in and not loose.

30 Day Writing Challenge – Day 14

Topic: Your Life In 7 Years

I wish this subject was a few weeks down the writing path. My son’s birthday is on the 29th. He will be 7.  So, in 7 years time I will be celebrating my almost 14 year old son’s birthday.  Oh Shit…that is scary. He will be in grade 9! This is HIGH SCHOOL here in town.  At what school? That will be determined eventually, but not right now. Will we both be at the same school? Will I see him every day down the halls? Will I have to teach him? Oh boy.. more unknowns.

I’m sure I’ll still be teaching, if the enrollment doesn’t change drastically by then. I would hope that I have my same job, as I have mentioned before, I love my job. I would really enjoy it if I do happen to have my son in one of my classes. Especially if I am still teaching outdoor ed and he is interested in spending his entire semester with me.

I will be 44. Oh Shit again. Getting into my mid 40’s. I still need to get brace myself for the next few years when I will actually turn 40! Never mind in 7 years how old I will be.

In 7 years, I would hope that I have had the chance to travel to a few other places I want to go. I want to head back to BC, I would like to go back north to the Yukon, I want to see the mid-west states.  I want to do these things in the next 7 years to show my son all these great places as well.

It is really hard to predict my life in 7 years. I have talked about some of the facts that will happen, some wishes I have, but other than that we shall see how it goes.  Life is unpredictable and you need to live it now. Not worry about the future. It will come, eventually…

30 Day Writing Challenge – Day 13

Topic: Your Commute To and From Work/School/Etc

This is a very simple blog.

Get in my car, drive 10 minutes, arrive at work, which is also school. I do this at around 7:15 in the morning. Repeat in the opposite direction somewhere between 3-4 in the afternoon.

While in my car, I listen to music and sing along to the songs that I know the words.  Not much else.  There may be a diversion to Starbucks on my way to work some mornings.

In the spring, I will do this commute on my bike as I get ready for my bike trip with my students. Other than that, pretty simple.

Topic: Two Words/Phrases That Makes You Laugh

There is a lot that makes me laugh. My husband would disagree, saying I have no sense of humor, insert my resting bitchy face look. That is another topic.

Something that makes me laugh, it’s not a word or phrase, it’s a fart. I will laugh at this, no matter the situation. It is really hard to hold back the laughter when I’m in a professional situation, such as a student letting one rip.  I’m a huge kid and totally immature when someone lets one go. Especially if it smells horrid.
