I have been on a SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) a number of times and even completed a 4 week course a few years back. I have really enjoyed these times on a SUP and I am always looking for more opportunities to get out on one, so when I heard that Kaylie from Frontenac Outfitters was offering SUP Yoga classes, I jumped at the opportunity.

Picture 400 people in an auditorium all listening to presentations about a common topic: Winter Camping! Yes, that happened again this year with the help of organizer David Bain (and more) at the Theatre of the Arts in Waterloo. This is the second year for the Ontario Winter Camping Symposium and I made sure to secure a ticket. There was a great line up consisting of 5 presentations, sponsors with lots of outdoor goodies ready to purchase, and lots of friends to chat with.
Mother and Son Trip
With few days left before we head out on our big adventure, I took advantage of this time to take my son on an overnight canoe trip. It had to be close, short, and minimal to easy portaging and canoeing. This would be his first time canoeing in the bow of our canoe, and my first time taking him on a canoe trip alone.
What I Packed in my 60L Barrel for My Solo Trip
I had just completed a multi-day solo canoe trip in Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park, and I decided to try something a little different. Actually there were a few things different on this trip for me. Firstly I was using a solo Swift Keewaydin 15 ft canoe, then I decided I would try to get all my gear into our 60L barrel.
