We live in an area that has many places and things to see and do, so with the weather looking extremely beautiful the last weekend in May, we headed out to find some local tourist locations. The decision was made to take the canoe out for a paddle down in Wellington, and well, just see what would happen after that…
How to Make a Canoe Storage System
If you have been following this site, you will have noticed that this summer we purchased our first canoe and took it on it’s first trip. Now comes the time when we need to figure out how to store it over the winter. There are some people who would do this outside, but we are looking to have it stored in our garage.
Temagami – Our First Crown Land Canoe Trip
This summer I really wanted to try somewhere new, off grid, crown land canoe camping. Dan had another week of vacation to use, and I knew I wanted to go canoe camping….somewhere…. After some research I landed upon Temagami. If you know this park, it is quite big, and you can travel for a long time and not cover the same area. With this being such an unknown I continued to ask for help as to where is the best place to start.

Killarney Provincial Park – First Time Featuring “the Crack” (Part 1)
What Luck!
A few months ago we looked on the Ontario parks reservation site and got extremely lucky. We were able to book a 4 day, 3 night trip in Killarney Provincial Park. Best thing was that we had a great site, near the rocks that campers use to jump into the water.
