Head North in February on the Family Day long weekend and you will find like minded outdoor winter enthusiasts attending the Ontario Parks Winter in the Wild Festival at Mew Lake. This event is not limited to experienced winter enthusiasts, but also brings out new and upcoming outdoor adventure seekers. This year we attended as a family to take in this festival and have some outdoor fun on the long weekend.

Fall is such a lovely time around here to chase colors and camp in cooler and more comfortable conditions, at least in my opinion. We are definitely fonder of the cooler fall temperatures around Ontario than those hot and humid summer days. Even though those are lovely, but in short spurts. We knew that there was no way we would venture north to Algonquin on Thanksgiving weekend as the crowds tend to be…. a little crazy, so we waited for the weekend after.
Outdoor Adventure Show Toronto Day 1 (Saturday)
If you are an outdoor enthusiast, you have probably heard about the Outdoor Adventure Show. My crew and I have attended this show in the past and we have really enjoyed all the presentations and the free swag that is given away at this event. This year I figured it was time to get in as a blogger. I emailed the event organiser and I was granted media passes. That meant that this year I would be an official blogger for this event!
