Explore Gear Box (Unboxing video and details)

This past winter I had found a link online for the Explore Magazine.  They are based out of BC and they were sending out gear boxes throughout the year for a subscription cost.  I had caught the tail end of the Winter box, and was very interested in what I saw.  4 times a year they will send out a box full of gear, accompanied by a list of challenges that they post on their Facebook page.   Continue reading “Explore Gear Box (Unboxing video and details)”

Canada 150 – Mine Was Memorable, Was Yours?

We had no real plans.  I figured we would have the usual, “What do you want to do?” conversation this weekend. I was watching other people plan camping and canoeing trips, but we had opted to stay close to home.  There are quite a few Canada Day celebration activities planned in this area so off we went Saturday morning.

Canoes on Canoe Lake? No kidding! (Part 2: 150 for 150 event)

 
 
As you have read in Part 1, we have been in Algonquin Park camping and here to also celebrate the 150 for 150 event.  There has been a lot of sharing on Facebook this week, and I have thoroughly enjoyed reading and seeing all the different takes on the weekend.  Some of my favorites have been from the 150for150 group, Wild Canoes, and Camper Christina.  So with that, I figured you can get a little view into our involvement.
