Topic: Something You Miss
I miss home. I miss all of what involves that word. My home, not my current living arrangements, is Newfoundland. I miss it lots.
Sometimes I wonder if other people have the same thoughts about the place they grew up. Does someone from, lets say, northern Ontario, who moves away and now lives away, has that same feeling? I guess I have never really asked someone about this, but most people I know are still living in the same province they grew up in.
I miss my family back home.
I miss my friends back home.
I miss the smell of the ocean.
I miss the snowstorms we would get. (Yes. Some of you may not like this one, but I miss it)
I miss the culture.
I miss a lot.
If I had a whole bunch of money, I would probably live there for part of the year, and live in other places during other times of the year. Maybe I would spend a year there and a year away.
I’ve been lucky so far to go back home almost every year since I have been away. I have been going home for the past 7 years since my son was born.
This year, we may not get home though. We are at that point of needing to also explore more places with my son. Show him different places of this beautiful country.
However, I will always miss home.
