Winner Winner!
As part of this years Paddle in the Park Contest, there are prizes to be won outside the normal paddles hidden in the park and the prizes at the end of the season. Just to backtrack a little, this is my first time hearing and participating in this contest. I caught a little glimpse over the winter about this contest and started to look into it more.
This contest encourages you to “Get Out There”, which I am all for doing. If you want to read more, you can click on this link –> Paddle in the Park. I decided that I was going to participate this year. There were a few season opener fun challenges, which I did of course!! I had to also post on twitter with the hashtag #RewardsAreOutThere to help other paddle seekers see what I was up to. The contest started on July 5th and I was full steam ahead. I believe I completed close to five tasks that first day, submitted my photos online, and started to build my #paddlepoints.
Then one Tuesday, I was tagged in a post from the organizers that they had a surprise reward to offer as I was the first person to submit photos for the season. I had no idea this was a thing! I would get a free paddle (miniature style) from Badger Paddles. All info was sent through the proper channels and my paddle was on its way.
One problem.. I was going to be away in Newfoundland on vacation, so when it arrived in the mail, I would not be home to open and enjoy this little gift for a couple more weeks. However, Dan (my hubby) was home still since he was joining us later, and received the package, opened it up, and sent me some photos. I have no words as to the number of pictures that I ended up getting through my chat messenger that day. I believe the pictures are self explanatory. If you notice, he had some fun with it!!
The first is my picture of the paddle (look how cute it is!!)
Now….. the first few photos were just silly, then I think he wanted to annoy me a little. Check them out.
I hope you had a few laughs and have enjoyed reading about this contest. If you do not get a chance to participate this year, then read up and get ready for next year. I have been out looking for a paddle, but came up short… twice… There are still a few more out there to find, and I may just have to try again 🙂
