Ontario Parks have closed their doors to visitors to help reduce the chances for spreading this Covid-19 virus. We have always loved driving to the beaches to go for walks on beautiful sunny days, and also at night to catch the sun sets. Luckily we know of a couple of areas locally where we can still walk the shores of Lake Ontario and still get those beach vibes.
One evening in late March the sun was going down and we headed out to this beach access to take in the evening sun and listen to the waves lapping at the shoreline.
There was only one other vehicle in the parking area, which was nice as we didn’t have to try to avoid anyone on the beach. We slowly strolled down the beach just trying to imagine a time when we wouldn’t have to be so distant from each other.
I decided to try a little art work with the rocks, nothing compared to the art I have seen online recently.
We didn’t stay to watch the sun fully set as it would still be over an hour until that happened, so we headed back to our car and headed home.
I really am hopeful that this summer we will be able to visit the parks and sit on the beaches and swim in these waters. Until then, we are being very careful and keeping our distances when out visiting areas like this one.
